How to make £1000 a month UK (Jobs great for extroverts)?

It is SO important to find jobs that suit your personality preference. If you are extroverted, you may enjoy jobs where you can interact with other people.

Here are 5 jobs to earn £1000 a month UK, which are perfect for extroverts.

  1. Being an Amazon Flex driver
  2. Dog or pet boarding and walking assistant
  3. Teaching or Tutoring
  4. Offer consultancy or coaching services
  5. Working at a call centre from home

Being an Amazon Flex driver

Being an Amazon parcel delivery driver has become popular since 2020. There is a high demand for this type of work. You’ll be delivering parcels on the same day they are ordered, within a specific timeframe.

This job is perfect if you live in a major UK city and have a car. You can set your own schedule, but depending on how much you work, there is a potential maximum of £17.5/hour. The pay varies according to how many deliveries a client makes in a given period.

When considering being an Amazon Flex driver, make sure you factor in the cost of fuel and tax.

A Dog or pet boarding and walking assistant

If you love animals, look no further!

As a dog or pet boarding assistant, you can help take care of other people’s furry friends when they are away from home. There is a lot of flexibility in this role, which is perfect if you have other commitments in your life. You can choose when and how many days you would like to work.

If you are starting out, sites like Tailster, connect animal sitters with clients.

Dog owners are often willing to pay top money for responsible pet sitters.

On average, you can charge £8-15/hr for dog walking, and £16-25/night for sitting and boarding. The fee may vary depending on the number of animals, special requirements, duration etc. Animal carers reported earning over several thousand a month from Tailster.

Once you develop your clientele, you can also start your own pet sitting/walking business with your website, which can easily go beyond earning £1000 a month.

Teaching and tutoring

As a teacher or tutor, you can help children with their homework. Many parents are willing to pay for extra help because they feel confident in your ability to answer questions and solve problems.

You would need some teaching experience, but that is achievable by becoming a private or after-school tutor. You could earn around £20-50/hr, depending on the level and age of the student. I tutored Calculus when I was getting my engineering degree. I was able to afford a car from the money I made tutoring a few hours a week.

You can also tutor online, which is similar to tutoring, except that all sessions are online. This type of work is perfect if you live in a rural area and can’t get to a client’s location, or prefer not to travel.

There are tons of websites like Tutorfair and Tutor where you can search for clients and post your services.

Consultancy and coaching

Another option is to make £1000 a month while interacting with your clients. As a business consultant or coach, you can help people develop and grow their businesses through consulting with them via phone calls and face-to-face sessions.

Depending on the client, you can earn enough money to live off of. You may also be able to work with clients remotely if you do not want to go into an office daily.

This option requires a certain level of experience, so you’ll need to build up your client list before making over £1000 a month.

Working at a call centre from home

Making £1000 a month is possible by working at a call centre from home.

There are many benefits to this type of work, including the flexibility to set your own hours and the comfort of working in your own space.

In order to make the most of this opportunity, it’s important to find a call center that offers incentives and bonuses on top of your regular pay.

Jobs that earn £1000 a month UK working from home (good for introverts)?

If you are an introvert, interacting with people can be draining. You will thrive better on jobs that require a minimal amount of interaction with people.

These jobs can be done from home, perfect for mums who need jobs that can work around their family schedule.

Here are 7 jobs that earn 1000 pounds a month UK, working from home, perfect for introverts.

  1. Start a blog (or niche sites)
  2. Selling digital products on Etsy
  3. Proofreading
  4. Data entry jobs
  5. Podcast virtual assistant
  6. VAs for social media platforms
  7. Freelance writing or copywriting

Start your own blog (or niche websites)

You can make an extra £1000 a month working from home with your blog.

The best thing about starting your own blog is that you don’t need any previous experience or degree to do it, and it doesn’t matter where you live – blogging can be done remotely on your computer or phone.

You will also have the flexibility to choose what hours you want to work, which means if you are looking for jobs that allow flexible hours then starting a blog is perfect for you!

You may wonder if blogging is dead? The answer is no!

Typically most sites that promote making money have an article on blogging. How to build and maintain a blogging website? How do you increase your income in the current market? However, blogging is frequently misunderstood. The phrase ‘blog’ is not just for personal websites. We have nothing in mind to build an online site for you. No one will substitute Facebook in this regard.

Today, the trend is shifting from traditional blogging to creating niche websites. In other words, rather than coming up with what YOU want to blog about, the quicker way to make money from your blog is to reverse engineer what people are searching for and create niche sites to meet their specific needs.

As a blogger myself, Mike’s Niche Side Academy has helped me to make that transition with my own website and my income has tripled within a year! While the enrollment is currently closed, you can take advantage of his FREE video Bootcamp series.

Sell digital products on Etsy

Another tried and tested way to make extra income UK is to make your own digital product and sell it online (on Etsy).

It is one of the smartest business models, as there are no physical products involved, there is no upfront cost associated with it, nor ongoing cost on inventory, shipping etc.

Selling your digital products on Etsy is easy. Especially if you are new, Etsy provides the platform and customers who are already looking to buy. All you need to do is set up your own online store with Esty and research on what products sell the best on Etsy.

I was pessimistic about the idea of making and selling digital products on Etsy and decided to try it myself. To accelerate my success, I did my research and invested in one of the best Etsy Printable courses (I got my investment back within 2 months after opening my store).

I am happy to report that I made £300+ on the 6th month of the store opening. This is me putting a couple of hours in a week in my spare time with a full-time job and a blog. While my online store is following the trajectory to reach £1000+ a month, I know many previous students from the course I took, are earning a full-time income from their Etsy stores.

The best part is, it’s passive income, meaning I didn’t have to do anything once the products were made (more on this later).

Proofreading

If you enjoy reading and have a way with words, proofreading is a perfect job to earn £1000 a month while working from home.

Becoming a proofreader, you will be responsible for editing or verifying written material (reports, magazines), checking grammar and spelling mistakes.

What I love about this business is that the jobs are always there. As long as people need their writing to be perfect, they’ll always need someone like you to check it before publishing/printing.

Proofreading is not as hard as it sounds, and you can use tools such as Grammarly to improve your skills. The good thing about proofreading is that the more you do it, the better you become. Proofreaders make an average of £25.4/hr in the UK, making it an easy way to earn £1000 a month with very little competition. Most bloggers (like myself) don’t want to proofread ?.

Data entry jobs

Doing data entry gigs is another way to make money as an introvert.

While it requires minimum experience, the only prerequisite is you to have access to a computer with an internet connection.

I would recommend signing up reputable sites like Indeed, Clickworker, and Amazon MTurk which has over 100 legit data entry jobs posted daily in various categories.

Become a virtual assistant

Using virtual assistants become very popular for online entrepreneurs and small business owners. It’s an effective and affordable way to get specific tasks done with access to a large pool of talents online. It’s also perfect for people who want to make money working from home. Win-win!

There are so many services virtual assistants can offer to small businesses. Sometimes VAs specialize in a specific area like social media platforms, others may offer their copywriting services.

Here are 3 high-paying and in-demand VA jobs:

Podcast VA

Being a podcast VA is another work-from-home job that I am absolutely intrigued by.

Podcasting is a booming field over recent years. While everyone is rushing to have their own podcast, it created plenty of job opportunities in the field, without even owning your own podcast.

As a Podcast virtual assistant, there are many services you can offer such as editing, transcribing, guest outreach, etc. Plenty of services for both extroverts and introverts.

I interviewed Shannon who is a Podcast Editor, working 20hr/week, earning $3000+ a month (£2000+) on top of being a mom of 5 children, and running a dairy farm.

If this perks up your interest and needs some motivation, be sure to check out my interview with Shannon. I love her energy and her story is absolutely inspiring!

Be social media managers for a number of start-ups

If you understand the social media platform’s functionality or appeal to the target market, you might find it a valuable additional source of income. Being a social media manager is a type of many virtual assistant services you can offer with most start-ups.

If you enjoy connecting and believe you are capable of growing their audience or generating community for it, they will jump at your service.

Do freelance writing or copywriting work

Another way to earn extra money in the UK is by becoming a freelance writer. As long as you can write well, with creativity and interest in readers, there will always be demand for your type of writing skills.

You can work on content writing for businesses or blogs, through copywriting which involves creating advertising content, including newspaper/magazine articles, email newsletters, business reports. The list goes on and on.

A freelance writer can make between £2000/month to £7,000+/month depending on your experience.

If you are creative enough to write engaging content or blog posts, you can also start your own website alongside writing for others – A great way to boost your income!

How to make 1000 a month (outside of the UK)?

If you don’t live in the UK, you may be wondering if any of the above jobs you can do outside of the UK?

The answer is Yes.

Here are a few ways to make 1000 a month online regardless of where you live.

…all you need is a computer and a good internet connection.

  • Teaching or tutoring online
  • Providing consultancy or coaching online
  • Start your blog
  • Work as a Podcast virtual assistant
  • Social media manager
  • Being a freelance writer or a copywriter
  • Selling digital products on Etsy
  • Proofreading

One of the best ways to make money online without much ongoing effort is through passive income. It’s completely flexible in hours and effort, making it perfect for mums who have to work around family schedules.

The 3 Hour Work Week
Source: https://www.learntotrade.co.uk/3-hour-work-week/

So here are my top 5 ways to make £1000 a month and beyond:

  1. Blogging (or creating niche website)
  2. Affiliate Marketing
  3. Start a YouTube channel
  4. Invest in rental properties
  5. Website flipping

Blogging (or creating your niche website)

Blogging (or creating your niche website) is hands down one of the best ways to generate good money passively (or at least – what I consider as more reliable and less risky). While the upfront investment is low, you can earn money through a combination of advertising, affiliate sales, sponsored posts, and your own digital products.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is another form of passive income where you market products from other companies and receive a commission for generating sales or leads. One of this method’s biggest pros is that your investment is through time and effort, but not money.

For example, if you are a blogger with an audience, you can promote books or courses to your followers in exchange for a commission fee when someone purchases the product.

Start a YouTube channel

YouTube remained to be the most popular social media platforms in 2021, which offers a great opportunity to grow income. A large percentage of YouTuber’s money making source is through advertisements and affiliate marketing.

If you have the talent and creativity to market your skills, this may be a way for you to make an extra income through YouTube.

Invest in rental properties

Taking the leap to invest in rental property is an excellent way for anyone who wants to generate residual income. As long as you have enough capital, this method can give you a steady stream of income every month that will grow over time.

Rental properties require little maintenance and management on your part, which means they’ll take up minimal amounts of your time and effort while still providing great monthly cash flow.

Website Flipping

Website flipping is when you buy a website, fix it up and sell it for much more than you paid for it. It’s just like house flipping where you buy a house that needs work. You renovate it, make it look and function better, and then you sell it for profit.

Only with blog flipping, you don’t need a mortgage or a team of contractors to be successful. Instead, you can do it yourself on any budget you want.

Sounds too good to be true? Check out my interview with Chelsea about how she earned 6 figures flipping websites.

5 Ways to make 1000 pounds fast UK for extra money

Need a quick injection of cash?

Not everyone has the time to start a new side hustle. Here are some quick and easy ways to make £1000 fast in the UK. And I am happy to report that, after trying almost all of them, I can personally say that they are legit and effective.

1. Making money by selling your stuff

One of the easiest ways to make extra money quickly is to sell your belongings. Clean out your attic, garage, or closet, anything you don’t need to sell online or at a flea market. You could also hold a garage sale or sell items on eBay or FaceBook marketplace.

2. Do online surveys

There are many survey sites you can sign up and get paid to answer questions, many pay cash to your PayPal. The more you do, the more extra money you can make. I’ve tried many sites and methods. One of my favorites is the video survey from Influence. It’s so much quicker to record a video answer, and pay is amongst the highest.

3. Matched betting (Risk-free)

Matched betting is one of the easiest ways to make £1000 fast UK. It is not a gamble and is completely legal in the UK. Simply put, is a way to make guaranteed profits by taking advantage of free bet offers or sign-up bonuses offered by betting companies.

The best part? It’s tax-free!

Find out how I made £1000 from Matched Betting with absolutely no previous experience.

4. Make money apps

Money making apps are one quickest way to earn free money. These “Get Paid To” apps are FREE and legit that you can download to earn extra cash. Depending on what tickles your fancy, you can be a secret shopper, or simply earn cashback from scanning your supermarket recipes, there’s something for every interest and capability. You simply get paid by completing tasks.

I’ve tried plenty over the years, and here are the Top 30 High-paying Money making Apps for quick cash.

5. Website or App testing

Testing a website or app is one of the simplest jobs to do without any prior knowledge and is well compensated for it.

Business owners and developers are looking for feedback on how to make their websites and applications more user-friendly, easy to navigate etc. Therefore they are willing to pay for user testing. Testing Time, TryMyUI and UserTesting are a few reputable money making sites for website/app testing.

6. Rent out your driveway or parking space

Do people really know that their garages can turn into a source of extra cash? A driveway in one of the most popular areas can cost between £20 and £110 per hour but this average is around £1.88 an hour.

Often people who live close to popular sites can make pretty good money merely allowing somebody to rent a car park. Those that use the service of YourParkingSpace or JustPark will take care of you.

With these making extra money fast ideas, you can make more money by trying a few at the same time. Remember that every little thing adds up.

So if I can do it, you can too!

  • Setting a long-term goal is the first step in achieving it. Don’t limit yourself from dreaming big.

In other words, earning passive income is a way of making money by putting the effort upfront. At the time of earning income, you are not actively involved in it. Pretty cool huh?… but this may take some time, which brings me to the next point ?
