1. Website or App Testing

Website or App testing is one of the easiest job to earn extra cash with no experience, and well paid for it.

While you certainly don’t need any prior experience for this online job, can you really make money from that?

Business owners and developers are looking for feedback on how to make their websites and applications more user-friendly, easy to navigate etc. Therefore they are willing to pay to get this feedback.

You can make around $10 for typical tests that range between 10-20minutes. Not bad right?

Unfortunately, there are not as many website/app testing gigs as the online surveys, so sign up to as many as you can to maximise your earning chances.

Here is a list of legitimate ones:

  • Testing Time– Survey takes between 30-90 minutes. Earn up to $50 for each product test.
  • TryMyUI– Earn $10 per test. It takes approximately 20 mintues to complete.
  • UserTesting– Earn up to $60 per test.
  • UserFeel – Earn $10 per test.
  • UserZoom– Earn $5-10 per test.
  • UserBrain– $3 for each 5-15minute test.
  • UTest– Pay varies per task.
  • UserLytics – Earn $10 per task.
  • StartUpLift – Get paid by giving feedback on startup websites. You’ll visit the website and provide your valuable opinion in written form. Earn $5 for each test.

2. Paid Online Survey

Similar to website/app testing, another easy way to make extra cash is by doing paid online surveys.  You won’t get rich by doing this, but it can help to pay the grocery bills.

Realistically, you can expect to earn between $300-500/month, depending on your demographic.

Pro Tip:

  • Create a dedicated email address just for doing surveys.
  • Sign up to 5-10 sites to ensure you maximise a steady stream of surveys daily.
  • Try to aim for the sites that pay cash (via PayPal) instead of vouchers and gift cards.

Congratulations on your professional informative post. There are lots of good ideas for making money online from home which I’m sure will be very beneficial to people at this time. Your suggestions can be divided up into two categories, those opportunities which you get paid by someone else for your time, and those which you are building a business that will eventually make money even when you aren’t directly working in them. If you can afford to I would greatly recommend the latter, or if you have to, a combination of both. Employers generally pay the minimum they can to people working from home, so as soon as you can transition to building your own business the better. I have done freelance writing myself and could not make enough money to make it worthwhile. Now I’m building my own online business and loving it.

I am finding that the PayPal age restriction is 18 or older. What is the work around for some of these companies that offer jobs for a 16yo?

    1. Chloe

According to PayPal’s rules, a person must be at least 18 to open an account as it is illegal to enter into a contract unless you are an emancipated minor. PayPal does offer student accounts to children and teenagers, but to get one, an adult would have to sign for it and act as the primary account holder.
